Terms of Service

By accessing or using Cinetrail (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Cinetrail is a personal movie journaling and tracking application that allows you to log movies you watch, rate and review them, tag your viewing location, upload photos, and connect your watch history with friends. The App is provided as a Progressive Web App (“PWA”) and is available on supported browsers.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cinetrail. If you are under 13, you may not create an account or use the App. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You may register using email and password, email magic link, or Google OAuth. We never store your password in plain text — authentication is handled securely by Supabase and Google.

You retain full ownership of all content you submit to Cinetrail, including movie logs, ratings, reviews, comments, mood tags, photos, and watch partner associations (“Your Content”).

By submitting Your Content, you grant Cinetrail a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, subject to technical caching delays.

Cinetrail does not claim ownership of Your Content. We will never sell your data or use it for purposes unrelated to the App without your explicit consent.

You agree not to use Cinetrail for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Uploading illegal, abusive, harassing, or obscene content
• Impersonating another person or entity
• Attempting to access another user's account or private data
• Scraping, crawling, or extracting data from the App without authorization
• Interfering with the App's security, servers, or infrastructure
• Using the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations

Cinetrail integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of the App is subject to their respective terms:

• TMDB (The Movie Database). Movie metadata, posters, and search are powered by TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. You may not use TMDB data for any purpose outside of Cinetrail. See TMDB Terms of Use.
• Supabase. Authentication, database, and storage are provided by Supabase. See Supabase Terms of Service.
• Google.You may choose to sign in using Google OAuth. Use of Google's services is governed by Google Terms of Service.
• Leaflet & OpenStreetMap. Cinema location maps use Leaflet with OpenStreetMap data. See OpenStreetMap Copyright.

Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using Cinetrail, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Cinetrail respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on the App infringes your copyright, please contact us with the following information: your name, a description of the copyrighted work, the location of the infringing material, and your contact information. We will respond promptly to valid takedown requests.

Cinetrail is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of bugs. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cinetrail and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of revenue, or interruption of service.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in unlawful activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the App or by email. Your continued use of Cinetrail after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Indonesia.
